How future-proof is the TurboSIM method?

I'm interested in purchasing a TurboSIM and am probably going to do so tomorrow, but I'd just like everyone's feedback on whether or not they think the TurboSIM will be 'future-proof'.

I'm wanting to install any (and probably all) future software updates from Apple, to do stuff like iTunes Wi-Fi on the iPhone - do you think this would render the TurboSIM useless?

How has the TurboSIM worked in the past in regards to upgrading from 1.0.0 to 1.0.2 firmware etc.?
