Today my iPhone was sms technical broken. My display shows me a cryptical mess which should be a sms notification. Everytime i touch on "SMS" the iPhone pops back to main screen with a notification of 1 SMS message. Well, the only thing i can made was a "Delete all content and settings" on my iPhone. My girlfried has the same contract with O2, he was able to receive the SMS message, it was a bonus notification of O2. So now it's clear that the iPhone (or TurboSIM?) cannot receive textmessages with a name as sender.
Can anyone out there code a little application for the TurboSIM that converts sender names of sms notifications to numbers? This would be wonderful! Thanks
Greetings

This is not a german O2 issue, but a Universal problem that many people have found worldwide. It is not related to TSIM but the SMS type the operator sends. It seems the iphone has some bugs in how it deal with SMS strings, perhaps because of the visual voicemail setup.
I agree if someone were to write an SMS auto conversion utiity it would make a lot of people very happy ! |
