Hi,

I got problem doing the upgrade of the kernel. This is what i did

- using the TAVRIX live CD i execute the btldr -d /dev/ttyUSB0 kernelfilename

After executing the command it just hang there forever. It just display this message "KERNEL loading procedure has started".

May i know what did i miss out?

Do i need to change the jumper setting on the board to do this?

Can you describe more how/what are you doing?

Maybe you should try the newer turbo-prog-utils-3.1.6, tavrix is very old.

All you need is to insert TL2 into prog long card edge connector or into prog SIM connector and use "btldr -t [-s if SIM connector used] kernel.bin". That's it, no jumper, switch...

Thanks i think i got it to work.

It said "Copying FLASH image to programmer SRAM finished" and it hang there. I suppose the kernel update is completed. Correct?

Is there any way that i can check the kernel version on the TL2 after flashing?

This is just the first stage when image is copied to prog sram, the 2nd is from prog sram to TL2. Do you use linux or win? On win sometimes -l is needed (it skips prog sram and goes page by page from pc to TL2).

You should see version in Setup->About.

I guess it is still not working correctly becos i am not able to see the SIM card to ME communication after running dbg.

When i disconnect my TL2 from the Turbo programmer board, can my ME still detect the SIM card? Becos it can't detect mine when i do this

I am using Ubuntu. This is what i did. I just untar the turbo-prog-utils-3.1.6 file and run the bltdr as mentioned.
