Hi pz, there's a weird problem with isa working on the iPhone. It seems that it doesn't accept any IMSI at all (for the Fake SIM), and it keeps giving the error "Wrong character used, input is hexadecimal, use 0-9,a-f". We've tried the correct IMSI extracted from the SIM using applesaft, and it still does not work. We confirm that they're all numbers (all 18 of them).

We suspect that it could be due to iPhone's keyboard formatting. Maybe it adds some extra text to the string. Is there a way to make isa strip these from the IMSI? Something like trim perhaps? Maybe the keyboard adds a newline or something.

This happens on a Nokia too, so i guess it may be the error checking algorithm.

Is this issue resolved now? Can I safely use the ISA file from http://iphone.simbunch.com/turbosim.php? If it doesn't work can I overwrite the uploaded isa.trb in the TSIM with applesaft or do I have to by a new TSIM?

you can just leave it inside the tsim, and refer to http://iphone.simbunch.com/turbosim.php?type=applesaft for the applesaft method, which is tested and proven. If you wish to clear your tsim, just run the command turbo-rm-apps

Ok, thanks for the answer. So I understand that the isa-method is only working on some iPhones?

Yes, or turbo-reset - this may be better, does complete reset of tsim.

@pz: Thanks for the info, and thanks for the great job you did to get this all realized.

@p9939068: I don't want to cut my ATT-sim. So I would prefer the ISA-method. At the beginning you posted that the isa is not accepting any IMSI. Did you get that fixed? I mean there are many screenshots on your webpage which implies that this method seems to work. So I don't understand your post. Smile

Thanks p9939068 for replying on IRC. But if it is not working I would suggest putting a warning on the corresponding webpage

I did, it's right at the header of the page.

@pz
Any input/update on the isa?

That is good news to start the day with Smile Thanks for your effort. But one 2 questions remain:

a) I don't need to reverse the IMSI pairs, only the ICCID?
b) Do I have to cut my AT&T SIM in order to be able use the ISA-method? My thinking was, that I activate my iPhone with the AT&T SIM. Then I put in the TSIM-localSIM-combo and enter in the SIM-Applications menu the IMSI and ICCID of the AT&T-SIM. After a reboot it should work.

Hi, no new about ISA? I can see that a 0.93 was posted somewhere on the net. Anyone have a link? Would like to have it with the sources.

Thanks for any help!

As time permits we will do 1.0 with all the bug fixes - seems that byte niblle swapings confused a lot of people. But our version will be without preset ATT IMSI.
