|
|
I have done 2 iphone, the first ok, but probably I have done an error with the second. I have used the same AT&T sim on the second, and now, repeating the steps I have this error when giving the command turbo-info:
-sh-3.2# turbo-info
initializing modem
AT+CPMS="SM","SM"
ERROR
AT+CMGF=0
ERROR
AT+CPMS?
ERROR
modem initiated
Mobile Phone/Serial Cable Communication Error
If I use the first sim all is ok, so the turbosim is not broken. Pheraps I need to reset the turbo sim, but I don't know how.
thanks a lot |

I am experiencing the exact same issue.
# turbo-info
initializing modem
AT+CPMS="SM","SM"
ERROR
modem initiated
and it gets stuck there. If I abort, the command won't run again, stopping at "initializing modem".
What could this be?

Try doing a restore from iTunes to the latest firmware 1.0.2, then go through the whole jailbreak process again.
That worked for me. I think it may be a factory firmware problem on some iPhones. |

Received TS this morning and spent all day trying to get a sign of life out of it. I get the same errors and I'm sure my TS was dead on arrival.
Bladox, how do I get this replaced? Or is there something I can try? |

It's not dead.
run turbo-info -v , and you'll see that the turbo sim is actually responding to commands, this seems to be an issue with the iphone. |

Thanks. Do you recommend a complete restore and only install SSH then try turbo-info etc again? |

Cheers. I'll do it after a night's rest - I've had enough of this for today! |

Guys, just in case you're interested, I've been facing this exact same problem much of this evening because I've been mucking around with the turbosim trying to get it to work on bloody T-Mobile here in the UK. Anyways, the restore didn't help. I did however manage to finally fix the problem by installing minicom and resetting the modem back to factory setting with an at&f, atz. It might for for you guys as well. Hope you're up to scratch with your unix skills. |

ok so, you minicom to /dev/tty.baseband and send at&f, then atz ?
And it worked? |

Right! It's working again thank goodness. Trick is to go in via minicom and manually remove all the sms entries from the sim. You should be able to get a listing with at+cmgl and remove them each with a at+cmgd. Once everything is removed, test turbo-info again and it should write the data to index 22 just fine. Quite minicom and run turbo-app and it *should* work. |

I'm trying to do same - T-Mobile in UK - but I'm stuck. I'm not too strong on unix and I'm not familiar with minicom. Tried to follow install directions for minicom on my Mac but I seemed to get stuck at the "Make" stage.
Gruffy, I don't suppose you're based around London and fancy another TurboSim challenge?!!! |
