try hard-resetting your phone. hold power+home for about 10 seconds until the phone's screen switch off. wait for 10 seconds, then switch on the phone again. |

Thx for reply. I do check this, also with a piece of paper to add more pressure to the contacts : no result!;-( Do you think, the T-SIM could be the reason/defect? |

several people reported this Serial Cable Communication Error problem and i honestly don't know the reason. I'm only guessing it's your wifi connection, perhaps a firewall or something. Make sure you keep the connection active all the time. |

I'm getting the same error, and it's not CommCenter.
I haven't tried the paper trick, though... |

I've had that aswell... Try with Applesaft instead of Isa. Worked flawlessly. You need to cut your AT&T card aswell, though.
Enjoy!

I think it may be a factory firmware thing on some iphones.
I had a new iPhone, with turboSIM and carrier SIM, it wouldn't work out of the box. Same error, "Serial Cable Communication Error". I had obviously disabled the commcenter
However when I did a restore of the iPhone to the latest 1.0.2 firmware, without removing or trying to improve the contact between the turbosim and the carrier SIM, it worked perfectly, turbo-info succeeded and loading both isa and applsaft.
Basically, i didn't touch the turbo sim, or even move the phone, so it seems the restore to something other than the factory firmware may fix this comms error. |
