Hi,
I confirm that T-Mobile and Vipnet works in Croatia with TurboSIM.
CALLS in/out
SMS in/out
BUT...
EDGE does't work
Any idea? |

Have you set the APN on the iPhone? You will need to set this from the phone menu (if you have latest firmware) or editing the plist on the phone.
You'll need to use:-
VIP:
APN:- gprs0.vipnet.hr (or maybe gprs5.vipnet.hr)
Username:- 38591
Password:- 38591
T-Mobile:
APN: web.htgprs
Username: (leave blank)
Password: (leave blank)
Both networks support EDGE |

yes I done it like you wrote... for T-Mobile. but it doesn't work. I have 1.0.2 version of swt on iPhone.
It wrote me a message: Cold not activate EDGE. You are not subscribed to EDGE
BTW: How can I editing the plist on my iPhone?

Try the other SIM first, maybe EDGE isn't enabled on the T-Mobile SIM.

There is a text based .plist file at
/var/root/Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/preferences.plist
Edit the cingular APN to be the VPN of your carrier:-

<integer>1</integer>
<key>Setup</key>
<dict>

Try another handset, I'm guessing that EDGE isn't enabled for your SIM/service plan, make sure that you have GPRS or EDGE working on another phone before trying to problem solve on the iPhone.
EDGE works very well here (Hungary) using an iPhone with TurboSIM, I'm getting very good speeds. |
