Anyone upgraded to 1.1.2 with turboSIM? Have read mixed reports on whether it works or disables phone functionality.

Can anybody post more infor what has been changed? We (bladox) don't have any iphone, etc. Maybe there would be another tricks to try, e.g. the blackberry one.

Apparently the block is coming from the software: one guy said he's running 1.0.2 with 1.1.2 baseband ok.

I can't activate 1.1.2 so I won't be much help ... unless I decrypt 1.1.2 and try out the new phone.app and sms.app? What do u think pz?

I am new in this forum and will try to post a tutorial on how to unlock new Iphones with version 1.1.2 and bootloader 4.6

THIS IS A MAC PROCEDURE

If you had an Iphone with previous firmware and restore your iphone with 1.1.2 version you dont need turbo sim to unlock. Only brand new Iphones will need it.

I have never done this procedure because my iphone has bootloader 3,9
But I am 100% sure this procedure works

First you got to have these softwares at: http://www.netpromo.com.br/iPhone/TurboSIM112.zip


To start you have to have your Iphone Jailbroken

Use "Installer" and install BSD Subsystem and OpenSSH

Then with your iPhone Jailbroken e SSH instaled we can begging:



The procedure consists at:
-Install TurboSIM softwares at your iPhone
-Cut AT&T's SIM
-Run turboSIM software to copy AT&T's ID
-Put the local carrier's SIM + TurboSIM.

This are the steps:

1.CONECT VIA FTP
2.Unable COMMCENTER
3.Cut AT&T's and local carrier's SIM
4.Turn on COMMCENTER

CONECT VIA FTP

Transfer all files from folder turbo-cable-utils-iPhone-0.7.0-rev1/bin-iPhone inside the folder /bin of your iPhone.

Select all ?turbo? softwares from folder /bin of your iPhone, get the command+I to adjust it to 755.

Transfer all from the folder applesaft/bin to folder /private/var/root from your Iphone.

Unable COMMCENTER

At Terminal type:

launchctl unload -w /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.CommCenter.plist




Cut AT&T's and local carrier's SIM

Use the guide from TurboSIM to cut both of the SIMs



Put together AT&T's SIM and TURBOSIM inside your Iphone.

Open a ssh session and type

turbo-info

If you get everything correct you will see NO ERROR

Otherwise try to adjust, cut or etc the AT&T's SIM.

When you get a NO ERROR message, type

turbo-app /private/var/root/applesaft.trb

Wait for NO ERROR message

Turn on COMMCENTER

launchctl unload -w /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.CommCenter.plist

Restart Iphone.

UNLOCK iPHONE

At your iPhone go to Settings -> Phone -> SIM Applications

Select Applesaft

Select SET

CAREFULLY!!
Take out both SIMs (AT&T + TurboSIM )

Insert local carrier's SIM + TurboSIM

Restart iPhone.

Congrats. I should works.
