|

Hi there,
I'll explain my situation: I went through the 1.1.2 ootb iphone ulocking with turbosim. The first time I got stuck on the last iphone reset. Had to start all over again. Downgrade, iNdependence.......
Everything looked cool until the last reboot with the turbosim paired with my local operator... "Invalid SIM, This iPhone need to be used with a valid SIM" (translation from my language).
What the hell!!
It's gotta be working!!!
The thing is... the secon time I did the procedure there seemed to be 2 applesaft in the Settings -> Phone -> SIM Applications -> Apple Saft -> Set -> Accept thing.
Maybe there was a problem with programming the turbosim 2 times?!
Is there a way to reset the turbosim and have it fully working with iPhone without going thru the all the story from step 1??
can I just start from the Cyberduck/Putty step?
Thanks a lot, guys. |

Hi,
Yes, there is. Use the turbo-reset util included in the TurboSIM iPhone package, its usually packed together with turbo-app that you used for programming the phone.
Another way of doing it is using the TSIM thats in the package that your TurboSIM came in.
Put your SIM card (without the TurboSIM) in another phone, set your PIN code to something, like 1234, put your TurboSIM with your SIM into the phone (or your iPhone), and use the TSIM as your PIN code.
Your phone will tell you that you have 3 remaining tries left, even after you enter the TSIM.
After this, your TurboSIM is reset and you can start all over. This is most likely the only way of fixing your problem, remember only to program the applesaft to the TurboSIM once. |

Thanks for answering kapsel!
Seen that I've already went into some mistake, I'd ask you to be more explicit..!

You mean within the terminal? How should I do this?
And then Quote: | use the TSIM as your PIN code |
you mean I should use the TurboSim PIN (the TPIN on the turbosim card) instead of my usual PIN? I just have to digit the TPIN, press confirm and the TSIM is reset?
At last, which method you would suggest, i mean, the easiest and safest to a total noob like me?
Thanks a lot, really. |
